Mike has been farming in Addison since 1996, and his dairy operation was certified organic in 2006. Since he began farming, he has practiced rotational grazing, and he recently stopped feeding grain to his cattle altogether.

Mike’s herd is “closed,” as he does not purchase livestock from other farmers. He raises heifers to replace his dairy cows and often has replacements to sell.

Mike sells raw milk on the farm, and I would be happy to bring frozen ground beef and pork products to Middlebury for pick-up. His milk is certified organic; beef may or may not be, depending on age of the animal. Antibiotics are not used, nor have pesticides or herbicides been used on the farm. Eggs are occasionally available for sale, from free-ranging chickens that are fed conventional grain.
